A Day in the Life of President Bush (photos)- 1.18.05

President and Laura Bush attended “Saluting Those Who Serve” today, honoring members of our Armed Forces at an event that helped kick off his second Inauguration, in which, contrary to media reports, he is celebrating the clear mandate he received from the American people on November 2nd. His father and mother, former President George H. W. Bush, and former First Lady, Barbara Bush also attended the event, where President Bush 41 recounted his World War II experiences.

President Bush is working on his Inaugural Address which concentrates on the themes of freedom abroad, and an ownership society at home.

Also today (all day), Condoleezza Rice appeared at her Senate confirmation hearing before the committee that will confirm her as Secretary of State. ENJOY your trip to Sanity Island, and the Daily Dose!!

Many people find it inappropriate, if not disgraceful, that our nation's capitol will be cordoned off from the public to allow the republicans to throw a private 40+ million dollar party. Do you?

When Bill Clinton won the Presidency in 1992 with less than 50% of the popular vote, he was hailed as having a mandate for change, and his inauguration was full of pomp and circumstance.

His second inauguration was much of the same, even though the ineptitude of the Clinton administration had already begun allowing the terrorists of the world to take up arms against this country, without a response. But you weren't complaining then, now were you?

Stop drinking the Kool-Aid, fool.

Worthless egomaniacs that give endless speeches that no one wants to hear when they're SUPPOSED to be asking questions.

Get those hearings off TV and end this grandstanding!

And I got an inauguration invitation today, not to anything specific so it's just a token but it pleases me.

Kelsey's one of those BRAVE Hollywood Republicans.

Is he a full-blown Republican? If so, GREAT. But if not, that's okay, too. Just as long as he's on the right side.

This is a great week. A great time to let it all hang out and CELEBRATE! (Too bad the inaugural is Thursday at 9:00 our time. I'll be cube-bound by then.)

CELEBRATE! CELEBRATE!

I'm taking a personal day on Thursday to see it all live. Just can't trust C-SPAN to rebroadcast everything I want to see.
