President and Laura Bush attended “Saluting Those Who Serve” today, honoring members of our Armed Forces at an event that helped kick off his second Inauguration, in which, contrary to media reports, he is celebrating the clear mandate he received from the American people on November 2nd. His father and mother, former President George H. W. Bush, and former First Lady, Barbara Bush also attended the event, where President Bush 41 recounted his World War II experiences.

President Bush is working on his Inaugural Address which concentrates on the themes of freedom abroad, and an ownership society at home.

Also today (all day), Condoleezza Rice appeared at her Senate confirmation hearing before the committee that will confirm her as Secretary of State. ENJOY your trip to Sanity Island, and the Daily Dose!!

Looked at your tagline--you like "24", too? I never miss it.

I had got it right then and yes I agree it is not a negative term and I like your take on the VP's character which some many RATS twist.

Put it in my language he is not a baby hugger, photo op man.

protect any captured terrorists from getting their widdle feewings hurt in any way

BWAAAAHAAAAA! No, we can't make the terrorists mad--they might not like us. BWAHAA!

rather than just asking to get their digs in and be self-serving

Exactly right. Also it wouldn't be so bad--or not as bad--if they shortenend the time that these blowhards could blow. How about ten minutes per senator--that's plenty of time to ask your questions and get your answer, isn't it, Biden?

Exactly. Perhaps he was as a young congressman, but he's a very dignified grandfather now. In any event, Wyoming is a small state in terms of population, and very Republican. So he didn't have the same challenges running for congress there as someone running in, for example, New York, Miami or Los Angeles.
