Another discriminator I'd find reasonable to discuss: the citizens should ahve any weapon they want... until you get to weapons of mass devastation. Things like bombs and grenades and flamethrowers... *perhaps* those should have a license requirement.A flamethrower would be awesome.

If you owned a few hundred acres of desert, maybe. But if you live in the city...

It could be put to peaceful use, for example, "shoveling" your driveway after a blizzard. Now THAT would be awesome.

A flamethrower would be awesome. Just about any aerosol can (with flamable propellent) and a BIC lighter can give you one of those.
