Legal hispanics dislike the idea of an amnesty for illegals as much as any other legal residents or citizens of the US.
Funny though, how Bush picked up more of their votes in the last election. I guess it's just not as big of a deal as the anti-immigration crowd makes it out to be.

The amnesty was floated before the election. It sank like a lead balloon. Why do you think W waited until after the election to bring it up again? He knew the amnesty would hurt him with voters.

No its a big deal, Kerrys promised amnesty was more unedible than Bush's lie about no amnesty...If Kerry had run on an anti-illegal immigration policy he darn well might have won..just look at Hillary posturing..

I guess it's just not as big of a deal as the anti-immigration crowd makes it out to be.47% of Latino voters voted in favor of Prop 200 in Arizona, so it appears that illegal immigration is a main concern with Latino Americans just as it is with non-Latino Americans.
