I don't think he did.
Me neither. Su-prize, su-prize.
I'm so glad Condi confirmed that it IS a scandal and didn't try to downplay it.
With Coleman talking about oil for food scandal, he just shot down another of sKerry's little speeches! sKerry looks the fool yet again.
Coleman concerned about Russia..
Brings up Oil for Food.
Rice says it is indeed a "scandal" and that is the word.
She expounds on this a bit then states she hopes that the Volker investigation gets better cooperation then they have.
"We have got to get to the bottom of what happened here and people will be held accountable".
About the UN she did state we do not want it to be an ineffective organiziation, but implicit in this was the preceding context of scandal and corruption have no place in an effective organization.
(I must get going...are they going to break soon, I hope?!)
Well, good for him! I love pettiness in politics! It's about damn time!
According to Evan Thomas of TIME, Kerry will run again, and Kerry realizes he didn't communicate well with people, so Kerry's trying to improve his public speaking skills, trying not to sound so arrogant and elitist.
Sure couldn't tell by Kerry's pompous questioning of Condi! But then Senator Coleman did a great job of bringing Kerry back down to reality. Coleman said, "we're happy to welcome Senator Kerry back to the senate", and the room enjoyed a good hearty laugh.
Kerry deserved the smiling bitch slap after he spent his time name dropping every world leader who (it sounded like), confided in him. And guess what? All their confidences were anti Bush Administration! Kerry is such a self-serving prick...people saw for themselves, this little display just proves how right voters were to reject this guy.
Break soon; resume at 2:00 I believe.
Yep, that was an early example of the Death Stare, she looks a bit thinner today, or maybe it's the angle as you say.
She's also had much more practice using the Stare since then.
Isn't she always?
That she is - no hint of the shaky voice she sometimes has.
She is authoratative, and in control.
Senator Coleman is chairman of the subcommittee investigating the Oil for Food scandal. I think he would have brought up the issue regardless of this thread.
What did John Kerry have to do that was more important than what the other senators who got there on time had to do?
He was only about two hours fashionably late.
F'n is stuck in the "pander to the michael moore wing of the RAT party" from now on.
Coleman: Bremer did note in this article that insurgency isn't it in for money but to retake power.
Yes...he was late to the hearing...so typical of who he thinks he is....above us all. I hate this guy.
Hair and nails.
Skerry has his Lance Armstrong band on again, which he didnt wear in London with Tony Blair..
