Bill Nelson asking about stopping Iran.
Condi - we were 1st to put the Iranian nuclear issue on the table. Think people now sceptical of them. Not much more we can do re sanctions. !st step should be to referred to the Security Council at some point may need to go there. Making some progress in unifying view on Iran We've made some progress with eg Russia, they are now saying must return the fuel. Iran must be held accountable.

Nelson's voice is grating.
I kind of like Lamar Alexander. Always have.
He said he lauded her early piano lessons beginning at age 3 as a terrific example of early childhood development when he was sitting in at Leavitt's confirmation hearing for Health and Human Services.
Alexander: "I don't think we need an exit strategy; we need a success strategy".
He's setting her up to expound on the administration's thinking. He has concerns about some misjudgements and lauds the acknowledging they have done in seeing where they need "adjustments".
He's harking to the "City on a hill" mission of our country to advance freedom throughout the world (and wants her to address how we can do that best by living it right here in our own country).
Third point he wants addressed is foreign student enrollment here.
