Kiefer Sutherland is a Canadian and the grandson of Tommy Douglas, Canadas father of socialism. However, he owns guns and has some views that don't fit entirely with his liberal upbringing. He only mixes in politics in Canada and generally stays away from US politics. And he likes his character, Jack Bauer.
