Also false, is your scenario of a Saddam gunning for Christians - never in all the bloody reign of Saddam did he carry out pogroms against Christians (or Iraqi Jews for that matter) to satisfy the Muslim blood lust. Saddam's only documented religous pogroms were against Islamics against his secular Ba'athist state. PERIOD.

I didn't say he WAS, I said he would, if it had benefited him. He kept a lid on Muslim extremists because he knew they were out to get him, but towards the end of his reign, he was definitely beginning to see the benefits of a closer relationship with Muslim extremism in the ME.
I'm not "bearing false witness" against you. I simply found your posts very negative, and I have noticed in many of your other posts on the Balkans that you tend to be quite negative towards Catholics.
I also have disputes with the Church - I don't think it does enough to defend Catholics against Muslim attacks, mostly because of the left-wing sympathies of many in the European and American heirarchy.

Horespuckey. The Ba'athists killed or ran out of Iraq almost all of the Iraq jews. His pogroms against the jews and other minorities are fact. Your statements are just wrong.
