So, will the islamotrash first call for a pullout of all Catholic "crusaders" or just behead the man on general principle?
To: Pyro7480
I wonder if this is more Saudi 'insurgents' at work...

Part of the Holy Land is "governed" (if that's the right word) by the "Palestinian Authority".

The reason for the kidnapping was unclear, I am sure the reason is Bush's fault.

How 'bout this: The muzzies really should avoid p*ssing of the Catholic church. Its resources and connections are vast, and I'm betting it will go very badly for the kidnappers if they kill the good bishop.
I wish not ill on the bishop, as much as I'd like to see the church more firmly on our side.

Also, pray that if he faces death, that he faces it like the martyrs of old.

Iraqi Christians were safer under Saddam than under Bush. Sorry to say that. In fact, we all would have been better off if Saddam went on to take Mecca right after Kuwait - women in Suadi Arabia would have ditched the burkha by now and have been allowed to become doctors and drive cars.

Revelation 20:4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

PS: IF Saddam did take Saudi Arabia - or just kept Kuwait - he would have been pumping that oil in record numbers of barrels to pay off his debts.

10,000 somewhat sober, armed IRA members are marching on Mosul as we speak!

The Christian Church will only grow through martyrdom. That is a fact. Saddam's regime was a brief respite for Iraqi Christians, who before Saddam, suffered dhimmitude. Muslims have killed Christians since the beginning, so in any case, after Saddam, it would have continued.

I believe one of the Pope's concerns regarding the 2003 edition of the Iraq War was the risk of replacing Saddam's secular thugocracy with a Saudi or Iranian style of Islamic thugocracy. He never quite stated it that way, but that's what I saw reading between the lines.
