When I worked at Sara Lee, we negotiated a deal with Walmart that said we would not charge less in our retail outlets for our products than Walmart priced the same item. This, of course, caused the sales to plummet in our outlets. When we in retail complained to our sister divisions, their response was "Well, you sell less than Walmart". Well, DUH! You won't let us charge less than Walmart. Hello!!!? I imagine Walmart does this with our companies as well.

There are 2 reasons Walmart is being attacked:
1 - they donate largely to REPUBLICANS
2 - they don't allow UNIONS

>The pickle maker had spent decades convincing customers that they should pay a premium for its brand. Now Wal-Mart was practically giving them away. <
And there it is... Most of these companies have made a business out of making people pay more than need be for products, Wal-Mart has called them on it.

Another Wal-Mart is evil hit piece. How original. Those that don't want to trade with Wal-Mart are free to haul ass - it's all part of that "freedom" thing everyone talks so much about.

Why don't you just say your after WalMart. Just say I hate WalMart. That is better then putting out this incorrect information.

A gallon-sized jar of whole pickles is something to behold. The jar is the size of a small aquarium. Confusing Wal-Mart with Sam's Club?

Economists attribute the shallowness and shortness of duration of the last recession to the "Wal-Mart Effect," suppressed inflation and rippled productivity gains through the economy year after.
Case closed.

That's right. It might also be therapeutic. Try it, it feels good:
"I hate Wal-Mart. I hate Wal-Mart. I believe that people are voluntarily being shown the width and length of the shaft by Wal-Mart. I hate Wal-Mart......"

I'm getting tired of the the "evil Wal-Mart" stories. I shop there and I own stock in the company. Like it or not, it's the largest private employer in my state. I hope Wal-Mart thrives and prospers.
To: jb6
Wal-Mart's relentless pressure can crush the companies it does business with and force them to send jobs overseas.Someone's going to have to repeal the law that forces suppliers to do business with Wal-Mart. /sarcasm

I've seen this exact story several times in the past, years ago.
This is a hit piece.

Confusing Wal-Mart with Sam's Club?
My wife is verbotten from going to Sam's. We kept having arguments that went something like this:
ME: Why!!???
HER: I saved 65%!
ME: But what in the *&$#@ are we going to do with a 5-gallon bucket of mustard?

Walmart is the most successful retailer that enables customers to by at lower costs and therefore enable people to up their standard of living, plus fight inflation
There are those that automatically attack business successes in this country.
Being a none union company on top of it is a major violation with liberals and competitors that are used adapting to upping prices and thereby forgot how to go out and compete.
Thank Walmart for fighting on the end consumers side.
