(Hazlet, N.J.-WABC, January 16, 2005) — A gruesome discovery in New Jersey, as a severed head and body are found near a movie theater in Monmouth County.

Eyewitness News reporter Ken Rosato is live at the scene in Hazlet, with more on this murder mystery.

The police found a head in the woods in the wooded area behind a movie theater, on a busy movie night when hundreds of cars packed the parking lot.

No offense to anyone but since this is New Jersey this probably just means that a youngish mafioso got creative. If this area has a sizable Latino population I'd say it sounds like someone made a point with a machete. If there is a Jamaican or Haitian population in this area I'd look in that direction or it could just be an All American pyscho. Ed Gein, if you'll recall, lived and killed in a nice quiet little town.

I just watched a movie about these jihadists, then read the thread about the Christian family that were bound and had their throats slit. Then comes the severed head news...maybe I'm just a little nervous right now.

A gray SUV or minivan at the scene was of particular interest to the investigators...

Uh oh, must have been the SUV. They are obviously not content with running over and crushing their victims, or drowning them in lakes, or stranding them on busy railroad tracks. Apparently the SUVs have converted to Islam.

Well In my work I have seen it ( search and rescue) and it is more odd than frieghtening. The odds of you getting killed on the way to work tomorrow is much more likely ( God forbid). Don't be controled by your fears.

Well, you see, you have the whole woods, but then the part around the edge is probably just less trees. So the head wasn't there. It was in the wooded woods. It's like living in Jersey--you have to see the forest for the trees.
