Already posted (I think under another title) and the WaPo server is being repaired. But the Tim Blair site is worth a visit.

>>We met dozens of people along the way. We asked them about themselves, about their communities, about their votes. Some were leery of us. Several asked politely: "What are you trying to accomplish?" Others were more blunt: "What's your angle?" Another version: "What are you hoping to find?"
We give every out-of-towner a good looking over before saying anything. It's not done in a mean way, but you need to know what the score is. Never trust what you don't know. I should know, because I came from the blue land. They think we are just a bunch of dumb hicks. They just got proven wrong and are too clueless to see it happening.

The reporter probe parachuted through the previously unexplored atmosphere and relayed data back to the mothership in Washington for an hour and a half.
It will take decades to analyze the treasure trove of data.

The Search function doesn't work on words shorter than four letters, which makes searching for this article impossible.

I'm in Durango CO now, but have lived all over. I've used His gift of DISCERNMENT and DISCRIMINATION (in the true sense of the word, not the bastardized PC version), and have run into very few problems with people. I know, sometimes within minutes, if a certain person is worth investing in...His gifts really do work.

A liberal journalist goes to Flyover Country in search of the dreaded Homo Redneckus. When its all over, he's no better informed than he was before he began the journey. Its like China and the natives are completely inscrutable.
