CBS News turned over its entire "Face the Nation" broadcast on Sunday to inveterate Bush-basher Ted Kennedy, after refusing a White House request that they also include a Republican to rebut Kennedy's bloviations.
"The White House was happy to put Dan Bartlett or somebody else on that program and CBS said, 'Thank you, No,'" reported Brit Hume on "Fox News Sunday." The CBS snub comes just a week after the network promised Bartlett, who recently moved from Communications Director to the White House counsel's job, that they'd stop skewing their coverage against the president.
According to Broadcasting & Cable, CBS News President Andrew Heyward traveled to D.C. and personally assured Bartlett that "neither CBS News nor [Dan] Rather had a vendetta against the White House."
"From here on out [CBS] would do everything it could to be fair and balanced, he reportedly pledged.

When I saw he was on solo I just changed the channel. Well, even if there would have been a counter to him on I most likely would have changed the channel anyway.

Does the slime of seeBS surprise anyone?
To: alloysteel
See-BS is growing even more nakedly defiant of the Bush Administration all the time.I've stated it before. These people are going balls-to-the-walls pushing the marxist agenda. This is going to be the mother of all battles in this Republic. The marx-wannabes will stop at nothing anymore. Witness the "Ohio recountS", the WA Gov recountS, the blatant in your face declarations like the beast and "We will take away from you for the better good" (paraphrase)......People, this battle may not be as bloody as the Civil War, tho it could end up that way, but no matter how you look at it, it's still headed to CWII.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

To me, there is absolutely no reason why the White House shouldn't pull the press credentials of every CBS network and affiliate reporter. Toss them out and let them back in when there is actual balance in their reporting.
Let them whine and complain, but you know what will happen - the network itself will be destroyed because too many of the affiliates are sick and tired of having their reputation destroyed by the big black rock.

Attention, Investers holding CBS stock: Your retirement dream are in the hands of zealous idiots, blowing your dream on pursuing their personal vendetta against President Bush. It is reccommended that you take steps to minimize your losses.

Old stuff. My prediction is that they will only offer flat out-in your face-unadulterated propaganda in the style of the old PRAVDA night after night. They're going down swinging...in more ways than one.

We can counter them with the under 30 crowd by pointing out how their grandparents want to turn them into slaves. I can just see a bunch of young bucks going up against a bunch of old marxist fogeys.

You have to wonder what the stockholders of Viacom have to say about this (And I am one). They (We) are not all raving lunatic Libs and the SeeBS approach certainly doesn't make sense from the perspective of sound business practices that I am aware of - Not to mention delivering a good product to their markets.

Oh,
inveterate. For a minute, I thought it said
inebriate. This is interesting, from
dictionary.com in·vet·er·ate
adj.
1. Firmly and long established; deep-rooted: inveterate preferences.
2. Persisting in an ingrained habit; habitual: an inveterate liar. See Synonyms at chronic.
See, I wasn't that far off.
