To beat the Falcons, the opposing D only has to shut down Vick.

Yes, but thats easier said than done. If they worry about Vick that opens up the backfield and visa versa. That guy is both QB and RB, but unlike most before him he is good at both.

Being a Cowboy fan I have no dog in this hunt. So im looking for a team to root for. For now the Falcons will fill that need with the Colts a close 2nd.

Did you see some of the dropped balls by the Rams last night? Hard to get a comeback going that way.

Uhhh, Steelers have won 4 Superbowls. Have I been asleep for a number of years and missed something?

Woohoo, I'm picking the Vikes and the Pats. I just don't think the Eagles can dust it off, the starters have had 3 weeks off, they're missing half their offense, and even with the full offense they didn't play well in weeks 14 and 15. That's 6 weeks ago the last time we saw this team perform, that's too long.

And never bet against the One True Bill, he's just too good at game planning.

The Indianapolis Colts were once the Baltimore Colts (as we both know from the NFL later AFC). However, the Colts used to have a franchise in Miami (Miami Seahawks) in 1946. The All-American Football Conference was disbanded in 1949. The team moved to Baltimore after faltering in Miami.

An AFL franchise was supposed to given to Minnesota, however, the NFL beat the AFL to the punch and after the disaster with the Dallas Texans (Now KC Chiefs), the AFL awarded a team to Oakland.

It's NFL playoff time in New England...and according to plan, the skies are steel-gray and snow is in the air. Just got back from an 8-mile hike in the woods and now I'm going to bring in some firewood and watch the games by a roaring fire. I love this weather and this time of year!

I'm not a cheezhead, my son is. My team dropped the ball long ago. IMO, the winner of the Pats/Colts game will take it all. I was surprised yesterday with a good game put up by the Jets against Pittsburgh, but have no faith in Pittsburgh against either the Pats or the Colts.

In the NFC, I see talent lacking teamwork. The only team I liked this year was the Packers. I think all Superbowls should be held at Lambeau Field; it would bundle up the half time T & A shows.

FWIW- I doubt the Eagles will let them put it up, and if they did, Fox won't show it, but WIP just reported that someone has a large banner that has a picture of Randy Moss with the words "NOT TODAY BUCKWHEAT" below him.

Neither of those was an easy FG. The first one was from 47 yards in a stadium where no one has made a 50 yard FG. And the other was from 43 yards and he was clearly focusing on distance. And both were in the semi-open side of Heinz field which is notorius for it's nasty winds and missed FGs (and even a few extra points).

Never expected the Lambs to make it so far.

Parcells has to rebuild everything in Dallas; I don't think he'll be there that long.

I think CounterCounter was referring specifically to the other three teams today, where the Eagles and Vikings have no Superbowl victories, and the Colts have one. The Patsies have two, so the claim is technically correct, if not semantically clear.

I take it you're hosting the superbowl party in MA this year? My place is too small.

Professional football players are paid to make plays, not miss them.

I wouldnt blame Parcells for bugging out. I like him, he just didnt have the players he needed.
Maybe the draft will help. Lets see, we need a QB, RB,TE..no wait we have a good TE. Whitten can stay, in fact ony he can imo. unnggh.
