Alice and Ben Pollner came to Missoula in October for the second Pollner Lecture, part of a fellowship they created in honor of their son, T. Anthony Pollner, a 1999 J-school graduate who died in 2001.
Alice Pollner, wife of New York oil trader Ben Pollner, who has been under scrutiny for his role in the oil for food scandal was a major donor to the John Kerry campaign as seen from the record below:

The oil prices were up at least in New York. Does this man have ties to those who control the oil Industry?

I can spot one from a mile. These two look like liberal prototypes.

Mr. Poller probably gave 2k, as well as his wife.
To: nwrep
My point is you're making a lot of hay about 2k. I'd suggest looking to see if there were larger donations...in the six figure range or more, to groups like the DNC, PFAW, or any of the Soros supported groups.

Don't you see that the amount is not that important? It is the principle? Here is a man who collaborated with one of the worst dictators of our time, an enemy of America, and he is in cahoots with the Dems. That is the point I am trying to make. Why don't you mention this to your audience?

Or maybe this was one of multiple "maximum amount" contributions, like the Asian monks donaing to Clinton/Gore...

It would be interesting to know if there are also significant donations to 507s like moveon.org, etc.
To: nwrep

"Taurus Petroleum, Ben Pollner's Swiss/Swedish company, has been engaged in oil exploration with many of America's enemies. Saddam was just one of them." With all the yelling about Halliburtan and all the snide comments about President Bush and Vice President Cheney being "Texas oilman who wanted to go to war in Iraq to profit their friends in the oil industry isn`t it interesting that the ones on the take are the libs themselves.
No surprise though, being a hypocrite is the first qualification to being a democrat.
