Raleigh Hills is West of the core city area, and Lake Oswego is South of Portland. I used to live in Kings Hts. in Portland, and I don't miss the ice storms there - without electricity for nearly a week at a time! We have underground utilities where I now live, thank goodness!
We know a number of people getting generators, including us.
Portland is beautiful. So glad I was there in Oct., tho.
