Lenins endorsement of democracy is enough for me to do my best to make sure it never happens here.

I don't know if you've seen these but how many of these goals do you think have been achieved since 1963?

And in Washington State even if the voters won't cooperate they simply stuff the ballot box.

Today's socialists use the same old tired rhetoric that unregulated competition is bad and dangerous, that the consumer must be protected from his own ignorance or irresponsibility...

Back in the good old days (1900-1920), capsules containing tape worm eggs were marketed as diet pills, would you protect the right to do so?

Anyone who gives the issue a moments thought knows that some people are gullible or ignorant (how many of us are not ignorant in some areas) and others have no scruples what so ever. In my opinion, it is an appropriate function of government to criminalize fraud and prosecute the perps, just as it is to jail some thief who breaks into your house.

That's exactly why Hillary & Co. want so badly to abolish the electoral college and establish universal suffrage, meanwhile dumbing down the electorate. Then its "Vote for me and you'll get a government check every month!" Voila! the Socialist States of America. Easily done because, as we all know, "Those who would rob Peter to pay Paul can always count on Paul's suport"

Today socialists and neo-communists continue to promote their cause under the all encompassing umbrella of "democracy."

Neocon vs. Neocom

It worked for Hitler - first the incompetent Weimar Republic, and then Adolf.

This is why I grimace each time I hear Bush talking about spreading democracy. The history of democracy, is a one way ticket to socialism.

Now a Republic, with democracy as a check and balance, like America was designed that is something else. And even democracy at the local level is tolerable.. as people can 'vote with their feet'.
