You should look into the works of Zacheria Sitchin at www.sitchin.com. He is the real Indana Jones and argues that life was seeded on earth from another place
No ice maidens? Darn!

You be the judge...
"UH OH",was the quote from the member of the launch team who was the one responsible for programming the vehicle to Mars instead of Saturn. Said his manager at NASA," I give that kid one job to do and he screws it up". No word from NASA on if they will re-launch and send it to Saturn now with the cost of oil at $48 a barrell....."If we do send it to Saturn, that damn kid is picking up the bill" said manager Ida Screwupalot.
If an alien probe landed in Death Valley CA you'd be on your planet saying "So much for the oceans of liquid water on earth" theory.
The pics from altitude seem to indicate it may have landed near a body of liquid, but not in it.
I guess they could still be there, but the scientific speculation was that it did not have a solid surface at all. With this revelation, maybe we've found a new source of beachfront property.

Looks like Idaho pertatas...........
no liquid? No color photos? Just 10 hours of battery life? 3.3 billion ?
That guy sure gets around.
This is exciting! I think the rock in the foreground has a shape that we did not see on the Moon. New scientific opportunities and challanges stimulate the mind.
/sarcasm
Color photos take processing time. The Mars Rover raw photos come in in B&W.
They were rocks from Mars, but they were intercepted by rocks from Venus
