I too smoked MJ ...daily (chronic) for about 10 years.

I did not mean to infer that you meant anything other than the fact that I was making the statement that folks who smoke weed off and on all day for most of their lives have eneded up stymied in my view. They seem stuck where they started and watch life and all the good stuff roll by them.

There are exceptions to this and I'm sure someone will come along and point that out to me.

I think weed enhances delusiuonal perceptions of the reality of how one's life is going. The ability to rationalize procrastination or lack of effort is enhanced for starters.

Again, this applies to folks who smoke a lot and usually those who started young and stuck with it.

Btw....you seem very defensive.

I agree that weed is not physically addictive. It is somewhat psychologically addictive or habitually attractive. I have seen folks go thru a lot of frenzied effort (more than they would normally expend on anything) to get more herb when they are running low. Nothing like a tweaker or crackhead but they wanted to find some herb pretty bad nonetheless.

Nicotine is addictive. It does not create the psychological problems inherent in drug abuse. It is very hard to quit...and it can and probably will....kill the user if they never stop.

However, comparative analysis between marijuana and nicotine does not detract from my observation that anything more than quite casual marijauana use inhibits life.

Sorry if I sounded defensive, I never intended to be angry or anything like that. I reckon my having to use CAPS rather than italics when trying to make a point seemed like I was shouting. My prob is that I dunno how to do HTML of whatever it's called...I wish I could italicize, use bold letters, & add graphics to some of my posts like everyone else can, but I'm "none too swuft" when it comes to cmptrs. Sorry!
