"Word to Bush: Get Real!" That is the headline that screamed from the front page of the Los Angeles Times on June 30, 2002. That headline summed up the reaction of the liberal left toward President Bush's June 24 speech on the future of Palestine.

"I call on the Palestinian people to elect new leaders, leaders not compromised by terror. I call upon them to build a practicing democracy, based on tolerance and liberty." Thus spoke our President while the liberal left ranted apoplectically that such a plea by our President was "much too stringent, indeed impossible." The President must follow the footsteps of his predecessor, to do as Clinton had done and woo Yasser Arafat, one of the most despicable terrorists of the twentieth century.

President Bush gave the Israelis the option of doing whatever they felt was necessary to go after terrorists in any manner they considered necessary. Although these counter terrorism measures heaped broad international scorn on Israel, President Bush continues to stand behind this small democracy in a sea of despotism and autocracy. With the Bush administration remaining silent, Israel demonstrated to the Palestinians as well...

While his comments are gentle, once again Larry demostartes the vast gulf between the corrupt satan worshipper clinton and this man of light, President George Bush.
