The problem with the homeless man selling the stolen picture is he over charge too much for it. It make good T.P. ask someone who owns and use a privy!

"Had the media done its job, there would arguably have never been a Clinton presidency."Funny, how it's the media's job to "question the president" when the president is a Republican.

"Had the media done its job, there would arguably have never been a Clinton presidency." There is absolutely nothing arguable about this statement.

Heck, they didn't even question Clinton when he was just a candidate!

Clinton is the last US president where the MSM could control his image.
Unfortunately for him, the MSM monopoly has collapsed, as Peggy Noonan pointed out in her recent piece. So weakened, they aren't going to be able to contain the mess as the real story of the bent one's reign oozes out.
those who were plugged in to the new media early had the story from the beginning -- the rest of the folks are just now getting the full strength smell of this fetid, sordid administration...

I would also suspect that the disrespect shown to the president by the late night media and the open secrets of his affairs emboldened our enemies to press their attacks. Bush is a different president and fearing him abroad is a necessary antidote to the Clinton years.

A few folks in Arkansas tried to warn everybody, to no avail.
Of course, the Internet was just getting started back then. Things are better now.
I want to get this book. I hope it discusses his time in the U.S. Navy too.

Historians sympathetic to Bill Clinton often say that the final chapter on his life hasn't been written, implying that Clinton's life will appear more impressive over time. What's far more likely is that it will appear more buffoonish and corrupt than even critics during his lifetime realized.
Nothing arguable about this statement either..!

I missed the period when Gene Lyons suffered from Clinton remorse. He has been a drum beater for the Clintons as long as I have been reading him in the Arkansas papers.

Exactly. I remember demeaning comments about clinton emanating from the Arab world during the Lewinsky scandal. Even guys like Saddam looked down their noses at him as a moral inferior. And, regretably, some of the mud rubbed off on our country. After all, we elected him. Twice.

I would rather say that the media elected Clinton twice. And the MSM was responsible for Carter as well.

Is there anything juicy about Hillary in the book? Hopefully, the truth about her antics, while in the White House, will be exposed before her big run for the Presidency. I did read that she has a habit of throwing lamps down the staircase when in a rage.

"What's far more likely is that it will appear more buffoonish and corrupt than even critics during his lifetime realized."Not the critics here on FR. But then, even we will be even more surprised. I hope to live another 40 years (minimum) to see the 'toon's true legacy (as well as that of W)...

I'm trying to remember the name of the writer/commentator who described Clinton as "a personality disorder with a disco haircut."
That's probably the best description of a public figure I've ever seen.

Let's all hope that it all oozes out in 2008 as the Wide Load tries to ascend to higher office!

"Had the media done its job, there would arguably have never been a Clinton presidency." I`m afraid their efforts for Bill and Kerry will pale to what we will see if Hillary runs in '08.
