Yes AFA is involved too.

There are 2 of the accused who have websites, Repent America which is linked a the top of the thread and Life and Liberty Ministries

Christianity is a foundation of this nation and if anyone's rights were violated it was those who were arrested.

I don't think anyone here wants the U.S. to become a theocracy. We've seen how tyrannical theocracies can be in the middle east, but I think it's equally dangerous(and unconstitutional) to ban religious expression or confine it to a designated building on a designated day. I say let everyone have their free speech.(Yes, I know. That includes satanists, too.)

I saw the video; just finished watching it.

The Christians were polite, well behaved, rational, logical and well within thier 'rights'. I'm glad the cameras were running.

However, if there is such a thing as 'intent', the intent was clearly to agitate. If this were a group of Liberals behaving the SAME way at Pres. Bush's inaugeration; I think they would be given a choice of ejection or arrest too.

Do I like this? No. Is this wrong? Yup. But, the Christians were there to confront the homosexual community; and IF someone were hurt, the police would likely be sued for failing to provide protection.

If the police forced the Gay community to 'accept' the Christian community, then the Christians would have 'ruined' a gay outting. Thus, the gays would then demand the same right to descend upon a Church outting, and 'ruin' that. No one wins.

I have a habit; I don't play games that I can't either win, break even or quit. This is one such game. Everyone loses.

Did Christ spend his life condemning people? No, he lived his life in a manner that would inspire other people to be like him. There is a lesson to be learned here.

Action Alert - 1/7/2005

Homosexual Attorneys from Justice Department Advise Philadelphia Police On Arresting Christians

Send the email to the Department of Justice asking for an investigation of this situation.

A few days ago I wrote you about the situation in Philadelphia in which four Christians were arrested. They are charged with eight crimes, including three felonies: possession of instruments of crime (a bullhorn), ethnic intimidation (saying that homosexuality is a sin), and inciting a riot (reading from the Bible some passages relating to homosexuality) despite the fact that no riot occurred.

They face a possible 47 years in prison and fines of $90,000 each. Now we have learned more about this horrible travesty of justice.

According to WorldNetDaily, "Homosexual attorneys from the U.S. Justice Department Civil Rights Division not only attended (the) large homosexual event…but they advised police on the scene who arrested 11 Christian protesters, says a source in the agency." (Charges against some of the Christians have been dropped.)

The WorldNetDaily article went on to say that the U.S. Justice Department is "not likely to take up the cause of the five criminally charged Christians who believe Philadelphia officials violated their civil rights."

Did you catch that? The Justice Department will refuse to investigate the treatment of the arrested Christians because some homosexual attorneys from the Justice Department were advising the Philadelphia police on how to arrest the Christians!!!!

WorldNetDaily, quoting their source inside the Justice Department, said the Christians were charged with "ethic intimidation (hate crimes) 'at the recommendation of some of our (Department of Justice) attorneys who were at the march.'"

In fact, representatives from the Philadelphia legal division met with homosexual leaders prior to the event, presumably to discuss how to handle the "Christians" when they showed up at the event.

There appears to be collusion in this travesty of justice that goes to high levels of both the Justice Department and Philadelphia. A trail date will be set soon.

Would you stand with these Christians who are defending our constitutional right of free speech? We are asking you to stand with these four Christians.

One final request. Please forward this to your friends and family. And thanks for caring enough to get involved.

Your letter will be sent to R. Alexander Acosta, Assistant Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice.

SEND YOUR LETTER NOW!

Not only the DA should be charged but those attorneys from the DOJ!!

Only if they used the weight of their office to influence the DA into file charges. If it's proven that they did, then I'm all for it. Actually, I'm counting on the DOJ to file civil rights charges against the criminals who took part in these unlawful arrests.

Your point is well taken; but if the 'intent' is confrontational (ie. designed to offend), then instead of persuading anyone to consider the direction in life they have chosen, one is instead insulted; the result is often physical.

If Christians have the right to disrupt a Gay Outting; then a small group of Gay members have the same right to disrupt a Christian Outting. No one can win this game.

Jesus and the disciples also went many places to share the news of salvation. There were some times when the people came to him but if you want to catch fish you gotta go where the fish are.

The Gospel is in itself offensive to some.

And just where have you been hiding?? Gays have, repeated disrupted church services! All over the country, and yet they were not arrested and facing hate crimes laws. Why were they disrupting services? For the right to partake in communion, which is Gods law, and church doctrine, not subject to the laws of the land.

Did you see the video by an independent photographer at the scene? The Christians didn't commit any of the crimes they're charged with. They were arrested for being Christians.
