Wow!
LOL!
Ooops... I meant RADIUM!
Exactly, if I decided to live in another country...I would make a point of learning the language. Many people from many lands came here over the decades and most managed to melt into our pot. That is the point. People used to assimilate & become AMERICANS....now everyone wants to move to America for the opportunity, but keep their old countries habits. What happened?
HI Muchocho! See I'm trying to assimilate and enjoy diversity. Even if I can't spell.
What you spoke of is incredible. There is a corner in downtown Chandler where men all hang out waiting to be picked up for odd jobs. Every single day they are there. I can't be sure but my bet is they are illegals.
We were once rear ended by two young men on their way to a party or BBQ. They didn't speak English but whoever owned the car (a relative) did have insurance because he came and translated for the police. And we did get paid, thank goodness.
I'm interested to find out if Prop 200 will make a difference or not.
Those pictures should be sent to the White House everyday.
Maricopa is now home to a big casino and gated homes. My neighbors are getting ready to move there because you can buy more house for less.
It won't be long and Tucson to Phoenix will be one great big megalopolis (if that's even a word). :)
I didn't know that Spanish was the language of the Native Americans. All this time I thought it was imposed by conquest by the...Spanish.
All I remember is the racetrack and the concert area, and then the casino that went in. But as for gated homes, wow. Can't AZ place a gate around Maricopa County to stop its crazy expansion? I just loved Ahwahtukee...up until the carwash, K-Mart and the gym opened. After that, the place went mad.
