Searchers looking for more victims of a deadly mudslide in La Conchita, California, stopped work today, after geologists warned the hillside above the coastal community may be moving. Geologists painted a stripe on the hill where the mudslide had ended. A few hours later, they discovered that the line had moved almost six feet, officials said.

Well it's cool on the verge of cold for San Diego it's cloudy and looks like it's going to rain. We had a 4.5 earthquake in the High Desert yesterday

A neighbor shouted a warning, "The mountain's coming down -- get out of there now!" We looked up and the mountain just spewed. He saved my life," Greg Ray said from his hospital bed, recalling the day when the mudslide swallowed a neighborhood.

Recently wasn't it flooding in Venice? I mean within the past month or so. That is totally weird.

I just got back from a vacation in Southern California and when I was there I could not believe where people build their homes. They build them in terribly dangerous places. The houses look ugly hanging over the sides of cliffs.

Well, La Conchita houses are on flat land. The amazing thing is that the survivors plan to move back to the remaining houses, and the state is going to help them do it.

I can't believe that they are demanding that the state help them to live there. The state should declare eminent domain and throw those people out of there.

Everybody wants to live by the water but it is just not safe.

The state should declare eminent domain and throw those people out of there.

In this case, I agree. The slide is still moving, and people are moving back into their houses.

It's total insanity.
