As a born again Christian, and one who believes in G-d completely and unreservedly...

I still say beware fundamentalism and theocracy in all of its forms. Nothing is scarier than a man who can be made to believe he's carrying out G-d's bidding by another man.

Even Christianity at one point worshipped at the broken altar of fundamentalism.

We belong to the same Carpenter!

As far as I can see, we are in 100% agreement -- especially concerning the risks of fundamentalism..

If you are concerned about my comment re Islam, consider this:

I have heard Mullahs vehemently state that Allah and the G-d of Moses, Abraham and Isaac, (and the Father of Jesus) are not one and the same. Based on that -- and what I can observe of Koranic teachings and actions -- I have been forced to conclude that "Allah" is nothing more or less than the most successful persona of Lucifer.

OTOH, if we had time to talk about things like cosmology, I daresay you would hardly find me to be a "fundamentalist"...

?????? Fundamentalism...taking the Bible literally and applying those teaching to you life. No, you are wrong, fundamentalism in Christianity is what brought about the reformation and has given the West the freedoms it now enjoys.

Fundamentalism in islam gives us lovely people like Osama bin laden and the Iatolla(sp?) Kohmani and countries like Iran and Saudi Arabia.

A little religion study might be in order.
