The Las Vegas monorail is fairly useful. If you don't mind walking a good distance from the Strip to the stations, it will save you some money on cab fare. Surprisingly bumpy ride, though (the "rail" is just a concrete track), and the trains and cars are too small. If they have any delusions about extending service to the airport, they can forget it - luggage would quickly overwhelm the trains.

Interestingly enough, the new AirTrain system at San Francisco International Airport is a better technology example - the ride is good and the cars are roomy. It took them a long time to work all the bugs out, though.

If the AirTrain system at SFO is also made by Bombardier...
I might ride as a passenger, but I'd pass on taking it out for a test run:

---"they" already have delusions about extending it to Cashman Field and the airport---of course if Oscar gets his baseball team , I suppose it'll have to go there--
