The Killing Fields by Dith Pran would be a good place to start to educate our students.

If I am not mistaken he was murdered a few years ago.

He had been an invited guest at my daughter's school and spoke to the students.

I recommend both the book and the movie. As far as I know, Dith Pran is still alive, though I rmember a rumor of his death back in 2000.

Haing Ngor, the man who portrayed Pran in The Killing Fields, was murdered in L.A. a few years ago.

Dith Pran is alive. Still works for the Times and gives lectures~which in his case, should be called "lessons".
