Since you bring it up, a semicolon is the same thing as a comma plus a conjunction. ; = , and ... .

A semicolon is the same thing? I think not. Look again:
"You have to fight back, and you can't sit back and let baseless attacks go unanswered."
The bwitch is wording this as if "have to fight back" and "can't let attacks go unanswered" are two different things, as in:

You have to do two things:
1. Fight back.
2. Not let attacks go unanswered.

But that is not what the bwitch means. What the bwitch is trying to say, is more like this:

"You have to fight back, which means not letting the attacks go unanswered."

or better stated:

"You have to fight back; you can't sit back and let baseless attacks go unanswered."

The sentence following the semicolon is not a second thing that must be done, it is a further elucidation on the meaning of the phrase "fight back".

Grammatically, there is a big difference between a semicolon and a comma-and construction.

The stupid bwitch can't know that.

You should.
