Hollywood News]: New York, Jan 8 : Oliver Stone is deeply disappointed with the lukewarm response given to his epic film, 'Alexander The Great', courtsey the new fundamentalist morality in the United States.

Oliver will, therefore, change the offending homosexual scenes before the movie is released on DVD. "There's a raging fundamentalism in morality in the U.S.," The New York Post quoted Oliver as saying.

"The bond between men can be suggested in different ways. From day one, audiences didn't show up. They didn't even read the reviews in the South because the media was using the words, 'Alex the gay.'

The gays lambasted me for not making Alexander openly homosexual, and, in the Bible Belt pastors were up in the pulpit saying that to watch this film was to be tempted by Satan," he added. (ANI)

Hollywood has NEVER self-censored any of their movies. At least, not in recent memory. I find it implausible that Oliver Stone will voluntarily delete scenes from the DVD. I would've thought that he'd ADD scenes to the DVD, that's what happens with most releases. "Extra 20 minutes added". Look at LOTR and all the extra minutes added.

Stone is wrong. If there really was a "raging fundamentalist morality" in this country then Meet the Fockers -- one of the nastiest and most cringe-inducing movies I've ever seen -- would not be number one at the box office.

Alexander bombed because it was a bad movie. Period.

Guess Bagoas the Persian boy is toast. Gone will be the scenes where drag queen Bagoas flirts with Alexander and is then seen lounging provocatively on his couch. (Nothing overt, but you get the meaning.)

"Only a Leftist moron like Stone could believe the failure of his film was due to "fundamentalists."

I could be wrong, but my impression is that many fundamentalists dont't go to movies much anyway.

After reading this I'm pretty sure Oliver Stone has carnal knowledge of other men.

A few went to see "The Passion of the Christ".

Yeah, right. Pastors couldn't stop talking about Stone's movie, and I'm sure this is exactly what they said. Probably every Sunday for a month.

As if Oliver has ever set foot in a church in his life. He wouldn't know what pastors say to anyone. I can't imagine a pastor keeping someone from seeing his movie if the person really wanted to see it. He is giving pastors much more power over their flock than they have and I'm sure many pastors would agree.

Didn't the RNC pay for advertising space during Will & Grace because voters they were targeting (that voted for him) watched the show?

Oliver, face it. You made a lemon. You've been making them for a while. All you did was make it worse, by interjecting your own heavy handed moral tones into the film. Remove your social platform and it's still a lemon.

Grow up. Time to stop blaming others, Christians, for your failure.

I might paint something similar.
For some reason, I really like that scene.

Mr. Stone, the main reason people didn't go to see your "masterpiece" is because it SUCKS, realistically as well as figuratively.

Oddly, it's not the lambasting gays but the bible thumpers who Stone blames for people not showing up...or may be it's because his "film" is a piece of crap about a guy no one in this millennium cares about. One of those. Or may be it's a conspiracy by Stones' dark and powerful enemies...wait let me check...no it was the second thing.
