Nixon's Ghost Seen at CBS News Building on West 57th Today

Richard Nixon made a special apperance from the Great Beyond to stand in front of the CBS News building on West 57th St between 10th and 11th Aves today from about 1:20 pm to 2:30 pm.

Nixon held a sign that read, "It's Not The Crime, It's The Coverup."

Numerous smokers employed by CBS News saw the ex-President as did numerous delivery people, passing New Yorkers in cars/taxis, bus riders, pedestrians and workers at nearby businesses. In particular, the guys at the autobody shop laughed their asses off.

About 2 pm, it seemed as if there was a shift change, perhaps it's just that they all take a LONG lunch. Anyway, there was a lot of coming and going about that time. Your average worker seemed to take it in humorous stride, the better the wardrobe, the more likely they were to look "pained".

One lady in with a CBS badge didn't get the idea behind the protest. As she was polite about it, I explained the concept.

There was an older woman, in a FUR coat carrying a "60 Minutes" umbrella also didn't grasp the concept. Ms "I Didn't Get The Fashion Memo That Heroin Chic Is Out" screamed "Why don't you show your face asshole..." as she stomped away. Repulsed, I was about to say, "Yeah, like you never had a bag over your head" but I was diplomatic and said, "Love you too pookie."

While Nixon may be dead, he still gets respect. There were a number of thumbs up from passing members of NY's Finest. That they got a laugh out of it made my day.

A couple of cameramen entering the building laughed a lot too. And what appeared to be a Japanese TV crew and a reporter left CBS News proper. Wonder what they were up to?

After packing up, across the street to get some coffee and then set the heading for homebase.

Perhaps a little ridicule will do what a lack of journalistic standards and accountability won't. Knowing that the "little people" in the building are laughing behind his back might poke a reality hole in Andy and Dan's egos.

Outstanding!
I found myself thinking of Mr. Nixon several times this afternoon, and now I know why - major shoveling of you-know-what to the elites today!

I had a disposable camera in my pocket and the only photo I thought to take was of Ms "I Didn't Get The Fashion Memo That Heroin Chic Is Out" but didn't because she looked like she was about to come unglued.

You know that's in your "Permanent Record" now. Well, at least your FBI file in Hillary's drawer.

I hope you did that in your best Richard M. Nixon voice. It actually sounds like something he might have said. Funny stuff Doc. Two big thumbs up.

Please, let's not talk about Hillary's drawers.
