Only one more full week to the Inauguration. You won't want to miss the excitement and pageantry. The dinners, the Inauguration itself, the parades, the balls, great fun, great fellowship and great memories to last a lifetime!

Not too late to get tickets!
Hope to see you there!!
P.S. If you can't go to the ball, but would like to help someone else get there, please donate to our general ball fund. Donations are being accepted to help cover the costs of inviting honored guests such as wounded members of our armed forces recuperating at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Bethesda Naval Hospital and others. We've already received enough in donations to get at least a dozen or more soldiers and guests to the ball and to offer discounts to several others. We'd like to invite as many as we possibly can.
LOL!!
(We'll have to take a group photo of all the girls together. They're growing up before our eyes, aren't they?)
How about you? Got that "knock-out" gown yet?
See you saturday, I hope.
I helped with the "walk-up" crowd. They had been sent from other parties that were too crowded to even move.
Promised food etc. they handed over the $ and seemed happy to have a place to go. They had been "all dressed up and no place to go"!
That is good to hear.
The commercial is very well done. Excellent writing of the script!
See you at the planning meeting on Saturday!
Andy Parks sounded like he was having fun reading it.
Oh, wow. Well, if there's a repeat, the walk-ups may put us over the top again.
I can't believe you got there while I was here!!
Sorry to have missed the chance to see you...even in my hurricane "beaten" home.
Bump
My husband's comment to me about the ad he heard on WMAL was that it was SO professional sounding and added that whoever wrote it/did it should be commended.
I used to be in radio and still occasionally write ad copy, so he knows how picky I am about those kinds of things.
You folks have out done yourselves with all your work.
Sounds like I was right and it was well done.
I have no experience in writing for radio. I sure have lots of experience listening and this made you feel good and like you might be missing something GOOD!
The possibility of missing something by not attending is exactly what hubby said to me when we were talking about it after we got home.
He normally pays little attention to radio ads because he spend so much time on the road with the radio (and his cell phone and pager and other stuff) as his companion. So for him to notice it tells me it is obviously a powerful ad.
LOL! We've got the HOTTEST ball in town!!
They're really rockin in Boston in Pittsburgh, P. A.
Deep in the heart of Texas and 'round the Frisco Bay
All over St. Louis way down in New Orleans
All the Cats wanna dance with Sweet Little Sixteen
Sweet Little Sixteen she's just got to have
About half a million framed autographs
Her wallet's filled with pictures she gets 'em one by one
She gets so excited watch her look at her run
Oh mommy mommy
Please may I go
It's such a sight to see
Somebody steal the show
Oh daddy daddy
I beg of you
Whisper to mommy
It's all right with you
Cause they'll be rockin on bandstand
In Philadelphia P.A.
Deep in the heart of Texas
And 'round the Frisco Bay
All over St. Louis
Way Down in New Orleans
All the Cats wanna dance with
Sweet Little Sixteen
Sweet Little Sixteen
She's got the grown up blues
Tight dress and lipstick
She's sportin' high heal shoes
Oh, but tomorrow morning
She'll have to change her trend
And be sweet sixteen
And back in class again
Cause they'll be rockin on bandstand
In Philadelphia P.A.
Deep in the heart of Texas And 'round the Frisco Bay
All over St. Louis Way Down in New Orleans
All the Cats wanna dance with
Sweet Little Sixteen
You are so RIGHT!
My daughter and her husband had so much fun last time they have refused invitations to an "official" Ball.
Their son thinks it is great to be going too. The kids room is a wonderful service! We will gladly take turns there and provide some games and crayons etc. I will check this out with Kristinn this weekend at the DC Chapter meeting.
Oh, yeah. It's gonna be sooo great!! Can hardly wait!!
Gov Huckabee and the FReepers are going to prove once again that Republicans ROCK!!
Sleepytime here...will dream about the party!
That is so cool!!!!!
I like it!!!!!
