Hey guys, even though I know a lot of you hate O'Reilly , mainly because of the way he treated the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, he is actually doing something good for one of them. As you know, Steve Gardner is out of a job and I think it had something to do with his participation in the group. Anyways, O'Reilly had him on last night about the fact that he can't find a job. Bill wants anyone that has job prospects for him or any other connections to email the show. Just go to www.billoreilly.com and a link is on the main page. (Maybe Bill is realizing how much coming out against the Vets hurt his ratings! I tried to tell him in email after email!)
Guilt trip for O'Reilly after he slimed the Swifties.
bttt
It was Bills "attempt" to be "above the fray" and neutral.
He'll tug on a lot of liberal opinions sometimes, so that he can call himself a moderate.
He's no conservative, but is socially populist, but he does follow which way the wind is blowing.
Heres a Link to the Chicago Sun Times article about it dated 29 November. http://www.suntimes.com/output/laney/cst-edt-laney29.html
I wouldnt be suprised if Hanoi John was behind this. John Hurley, the veterans organizer for Kerry's campaign. Hurley, Gardner says, asked him to come out for Kerry. He told Hurley to leave him alone and that he'd never be for Kerry. It was then Gardner says, he was threatened with, "You better watch your step. We can look into your finances." Several Day after a call from Kerrys campain advisor. Kerrys Biographer called him asking him to "fact check" Kerrys Biography. Twenty-four hours after the call from Douglas Brinkely, Gardner got an e-mail from his company, Millennium Information Services, informing him that his services would no longer be necessary.
Something is seriously screwed up here.
Bill was pissed that they didn't break their story with him. I'll bet he lost listeners/viewers with them because of his treatment of them.
