I know Tanker, Howlin, Buckhead, Powerline, etc., figure prominently in this... as does Mr. Robinson for having started FreeRepublic and affording a venue for these Patriots... as does William F. Buckley for having started National Review so far back that he was the lone voice in the (media...) wilderness, but not so lone that it didn't plant the seed that allowed a FreeRepublic to grow, to be populated by the likes of buckhead, and to finally be what it is today, and hopefully continue to grow.
Put it simply, I don't CARE who gets the credit; Rather is going down, his "retirement" - politely-displaced from the actual firings such as it is - is a direct result of the rathergate fiasco... and it doesn't much matter that those same media types continue to insist nodding their heads in unison as they agree in their self-anointed superiority "how it really went down" when you, I and a million other Patriots know the truth.
I do not NEED validation from the people who populate the very same den of thieves in order to feel the extra tug of satisfaction at their come-uppance. My juice comes from seeing them scamper like roaches shooeing away from the beam of a flashlight in the first place. What does it matter to me that - in their running amok as they mouth their false platitudes, bowing out with "mea culpas" - they would then look up and say, "yonder is the person who holds this light upon us"???
In the long run, we ALL are the ones holding that flashlight.
That's the difference. It matters to me.I do care that credit is given to the right people. My point is that Buckhead gets the credit for blowing the lid off this. Even in your post, "the likes of Buckhead". I think Buckhead is all that and a bag of chips, but somehow, Tanker and Howling got lost in all this.
