So what do all of you think of this?
Other than Gingrish, Phil Graham would be another good contender.

The libs hate Newt. I like him. Not sure he's the best choice though.

Newt needs to give it a rest. There is no way that he could ever be elected.

With Hagel and Newt, I find it interesting that people who consider themselves serious candidates for the GOP nomination (and aren't total political dimwits) think there is gold in going after the first re-elected GOP President since Reagan. I wonder what poll numbers they are looking at.

Newt is doing this because he's more than a little ticked off that Arlen Specterites are currently controlling the GOP in Congress. He may go as far as pulling a Theodore Roosevelt to save the GOP for conservatism.
Depending upon who gets nominated in 2008, I may support him on it.

Gingrich doesn't rule out presidential run Well he should rule it out, and as soon as humanly possible.
Newt would be a disastrously bad president. (Look at the mess he made while Speaker of the House....)

I thought Newt's days of delusional fallacy were over. Guess not. Maybe he can get Rush to be VP. They can staff their entire campaign with ex-wives.

I like Newt. But no. We'd lose, big time.
Try Sanford instead. He's got all Newt's better qualities without the baggage. Plus, he's squeaky clean and the media doesn't have anything on him (yet).

I think he's just making the media waste "demonization ammo" on him. They'll have less left over for the). real candidate (though they have a lot
And making money off a book- about time conservatives starting getting some "two-fers".

Pure vanity on Newt's part. His personal morality record stacks up poorly against Clinton's, so I can't believe the religious crowd would go for him.

Other than Gingrish, Phil Graham would be another good contender. I don't think Gramm wants to have to answer questions about Enron. His wife Wendy who previously was the chairman of U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, was on the board of directors of Enron on the auditing committee.

He'd do great in the office. Unfortunately, the left has succesfully equated him the the Grinch and I don't think he'd have a Chance at being elected

As much as I like Newt's positions, he did fold in the face of adversity. Now I'm not saying that he didn't have the right to say "enough is enough" and "I don't have to take this any longer," but at a time when his continued leadership was needed, he wasn't there any more. That is fine for a Congressman, a job which the founding fathers viewed as a part time, but is a showstopper for POTUS. Sorry, Newt ... Representative, Senator, commentator, or historian, sure ... but President? No.
