I wrote back to thank her for replying. I noted that I was wrong to think the posted article was in the Inquirer, that instead it was in the NT Times. Other than that, I stood by my e-mail to her.

Maybe it's just my sensitive nature, but her response seems to be dripping with arrogance(and not a little sarcasm) ;^)
I often wonder why so many of those that hate America have "fetched up in journalism". There is a bitterness and animosity from the leftists towards this country that's difficult to understand. WHY do they dislike what has made America the envy of the world. I wonder if there's more truth than I suspected to so much of what I see and read about journalism types; that is, they couldn't make it in a highly competitive environment where the cream typically rises to the top and it has endowed them with a very large chip on their shoulders?
Hard cases at any rate.
