"I DETEST PAYING FOR PS! I'd prefer to keep my money for my children's' education. Now, that is where there is really a strong need to fight for our choices."
We do too!
It's nothing more than coercion. Why should we have to pay for a failed institution? People without kids and those whose kids are grown and no longer in PS should not have to fund this. Only those who want it should fund it. I view abortion in the same way. Since it's still legal ... if you want it, you pay for it. Others shouldn't have to subsidize it. Both go against our values/beliefs.

Teachers despise McCarthy, anyone should. He was a liberal through and through. Teachers also despise communism and there is NO communist agenda in public schools. It's amazing what the liberal propagandists will put out there.

There are plenty of kids who have learned how to think with their public education. I guess it's easy to do what liberals do and blame the system for one's own shortcomings. However, after the age of 8 or so, one can easily learn by oneself how to think. If you have to depend on the public schools or an educationist statement by Frank Zappa of all people, to know what to think, then something's wrong with the PERSON.

I agree with those AP kids, that our education is horrible. I can barely put togther a decent report let alone a term paper.
That sounds like those who disobey the law and say it's their childhood background that is responsible for it.

I believe the person you are thinking of was FDR's Vice President, Henry Wallace.
Sorry if you have already been answered, I'm a slow typist.
