Typical NYTimes - focus on the negative.
Best job results last month since 1999.
But Ms. Quitiaquez, those jobs are being taken by individuals (who shall remain nameless in this lamestream newspaper) who are willing to do the work that YOU are simply not willing to do.
Don't you listen to the news?
More jobs were created in 2004 than anytime in the past 5 years...but the NYT is still beating the same old drum of pessimism. What a bunch of losers.
The minimum I pay is $60k/year.
If you have a degree in maths or physics, frmail me. You're hired.
Wow! These days the oppressed (by Republicans, of course) and unemployed can buy a home in a major metropolitan area, and still have the nerve to whine to the NYTimes.
Hahahahaha! Every business I go into has "help wanted" signs and no one can find a job? Here's a tip I used to give my clients at the unemployment office (before I wised up and got a private sector job): Take a telephone book, turn to the business section, sit down at a a phone with a pen and paper, start calling at the "A's" and you'll have a job long before you get to the "B" section. Too shy for that? http://ajb.dni.us
Is she legal?
Should've been http://www.ajb.dni.us also, of course:

If someone is having trouble getting a job it's because they really don't want one.
Why work when welfare gives one a better standard of living than 90% of the people in the world!
Lose welfare and you would be amazed how many people could find a job!
I'll bet Ms. Quitiaquez miraculously finds a job the day after her unemployment checks run out.
It's funny how those things happen, aint it??
Bush says that all these illegals are taking jobs that you don't want.
FWIW....When my husband quit his last job, he used a recruiter to get a new one within three weeks time. He didn't pay a dime for the service, and he's not a "white collar worker" per se....he's a restaurant manager.
Sending out resumes all over the internet is like shouting into a black hole. You expend a lot of energy, but get almost zero results, in his experience. In fact, he was told that a lot of companies don't even list a lot of job openings. Unfortunately, a lot of times, it's who you know. Using a recruiter evened the odds.
Oh, what utter nonsense. I wouldn't wipe my ass with the NY Times if it was the only piece of paper left in the world.
We are trying to hire 3 software engineers and 3 QA folks. Can't find them. No kidding. A year ago and we would have had 1000 resumes by now and 20 candidates.
What is wrong with people. there are plenty of jobs to be had. If you don't find the perfect one right away, at least get a job and then keep looking. Man.
