I'll bet Ms. Quitiaquez miraculously finds a job the day after her unemployment checks run out.

It's funny how those things happen, aint it??

Bush says that all these illegals are taking jobs that you don't want.

FWIW....When my husband quit his last job, he used a recruiter to get a new one within three weeks time. He didn't pay a dime for the service, and he's not a "white collar worker" per se....he's a restaurant manager.

Sending out resumes all over the internet is like shouting into a black hole. You expend a lot of energy, but get almost zero results, in his experience. In fact, he was told that a lot of companies don't even list a lot of job openings. Unfortunately, a lot of times, it's who you know. Using a recruiter evened the odds.

But after six months Ms. Quitiaquez was still unable to find a job, even cleaning houses or caring for the elderly. As her unemployment benefits ran out in November, she found herself at odds with news reports of economic recovery. "I realized what all these people like me were going through," she said.

Oh, what utter nonsense. I wouldn't wipe my ass with the NY Times if it was the only piece of paper left in the world.

This women left an area that is probably one of most costly areas to live in. She moved to another area that could be just as an expensive place to live. Then couldn't find even a house cleaning job.

She should move to North Carolina, I pay $12.50 an hour to do house work, they don't do windows or washing or bed making. They clean the bath rooms, the kitchen and sweep and dust. No hard labor.

My niece in Delaware, Ohio does housework because she is good at it and has more that she can do. The last time I knew what she charged , it was $15.00 to $17.00 an hour, depending on what the owner needed her to do.

She has a flower shop now but I'm sure her former employers still need help.

By the way I live in the mountains of N.C. and all we have is a post office, no town.

We are trying to hire 3 software engineers and 3 QA folks. Can't find them. No kidding. A year ago and we would have had 1000 resumes by now and 20 candidates.

What is wrong with people. there are plenty of jobs to be had. If you don't find the perfect one right away, at least get a job and then keep looking. Man.

Tell the bitch to lower her expectations for a $100,000 government job and go to work at Burger King or McDonalds until she finds a better job. No job is better than none. OH my mistake, she can just apply for welfare and live better than most folks working their asses off.
