Kuwait's authorities have arrested a leading Kuwaiti al-Qaeda suspect accused of enlisting youths to attack US forces in Iraq, a security source said on Friday. Mohsen al-Fadli - an Islamic militant hunted by state security since August for allegedly supporting al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden - was detained earlier this week and is being interrogated, the source told Reuters. "Investigations are still ongoing at the Interior Ministry, and they could take up to one month," the source said. "There are various accusations against Fadli and they cannot be finalised until interrogations are completed."

Authorities in August called on the public to help locate Fadli, born in 1981, as police broke up a network suspected of mobilising youths to fight US-led forces in neighbouring Iraq. Security sources said Fadli and other suspects were being sought based on information provided by the United States. Reliable security sources told Al-Anba daily Al-Fadli was being sheltered by unidentified persons inside an apartment in Hawalli and when he sensed the presence of police in the area, he jumped into a vehicle and attempted to escape. However, when he disregarded police orders to stop, securitymen shot at him and forced him to surrender. So do I. There was another FR poster, "Scholar" or something, who claimed that he'd make the perp speak in 15 minutes. In his studies he neglected to learn how PROFESSIONAL work is being done and looks like.
