I think I'd rather spend my time reading the Bible. I know a lot of these things are very interesting but...

One must be willing to travel outside the material in order to be found by the Divine. For now, perhaps.
Then there's all kinds of proof that is unmistakable. But science will never get you there no matter how much you discover about the material world.
If in fact the material world is God's creation I wouldn't say never.

Why some people need proof of God?
Would they accept an article from NASA?
Jerry Wayne Jeffries wrote an article called,
"NASA Proves God's Word". I found it on Google, try this link.

Creation vs. Evolution threads are pointless. Science has become a defense mechanism and shield to hide from God for many. What reward is there in unbelief? Eternal nothingness? Oh, joy!
As Blaise Pascal said, "If God does not exist, one will lose nothing by believing in him, while if he does exist, one will lose everything by not believing."
1 Timothy 6:20
O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
1 Corinthians 1:18
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

"God is the author of science"
Although this seems like a simple concept, (one I've subscribed to for quite a few years), many of the "self impressed" (leftist liberal professors, journalists etc.) have been blinded by it's simplicity.
They are the ones of whom the bible speaks when referring to those who are " ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth"...2 Timothy 3:7.

Isn't that the ultimate truth?
I just roll my eyes and shake my head in disbelief in the trite offered up as "evidence" of "evolution". It not only defies God but common sense.
I will have to remember that verse and apply it to those claiming to be Christians and believe we are created in the image of an "ape" via evolution.

A good study is to follow the progression of physical life, accompanied by a God breathed soul life, followed for those in faith alone in Christ alone with a reborn spirit,...our thinking processed through the soul and when processed by the indwelling of the Spirit, helps to sanctify our spirit through the heart. Our outward speaking which may inflence the spirit is from the heart.
A continuing walk in faith offers to fill up to perfection a man of body, soul and spirit. This doesn't deny the physical, rather it fulfills all that has been created.
We might witness the physical decay of bodies we percieve and reason to associate with the vessals of life, but ressurection is large eye-opener. Not only does one have newness of life in the spirit upon regeneration, but in time we will also be given a resurrected body.
Until science can grasp these issues it is merely a cheap panacea for reality.

Science is the defense mechanism? Give me a break! The real defense mechanism is this bizarre collection of myths and superstitions you call religion. You and your fellow believers just can't accept the
fact that you're really nothing more than an insignificant ape with a big brain (and worm food, eventually), so you retreat into a comforting fantasy world complete with a deity ("God"), eternal life in paradise for the believers ("Heaven"), punishment for evil ("Hell"), and an escape from death ("Faith in Jesus Christ") among other things. Yet at the end of the day you're still just an ape with an over active imagination. The whole thing would be kind of funny if it weren't so pathetic and sad.
And Pascal's Wager has been refuted over and over and over; it has got to be one of the worst arguments for belief in history.

Science has become a defense mechanism and shield to hide from God for manyOn what basis do you say that? Have you ever talked to scientists face-to-face? Have you ever worked in a laboratory alongside scientists and heard their conversations? There may be a very few vocal scientists who use their understanding of science to justify their atheism, but they are a vocal minority, like the Michael Newdows of the world, who think that increasing their volume makes up for their lack of numbers. The fact is, science is completely religion neutral. Yes, that includes the theory of evolution. Science is only a high-tech way of describing the physical world around us. Science cannot prove or disprove the existence of God. If a scientist determines that a particular virus enters the body through a mosquito bite and thereby causes disease, has that scientist made a statement about the existence of God? Not hardly!
Until you have personally spoken to a large number of scientists and ascertained that the majority of us are more concerned with disproving the existence of God than we are with discovering new things, please don't presume to judge us. In other words, judge not...

The funny thing is, for all your bluster and arrogance, it's actually the vast majority of us that thinks *you* are the deluded, silly one, relying on science to deny there might be a God.
