"
Beg for donations and then use the money collected to purchase airplane tickets to send "human shields" with suitcases full of condoms to interfere with the relief operations."

Australian Foreign Minister Alexander Downer fears aid workers in Indonesia's tsunami-stricken Aceh province will be caught in crossfire between separatist rebels and the Indonesianmilitary, it was reported on Saturday Perhaps an off shore aircraft carrier is as prudent a relief tool as financial relief.
Oh, wait a minute, I think someone did donate a carrier!

UN statement: ***Mr. Kennedy noted that while helicopters now being used are "absolutely critical" to the operation, they are an expensive way to bring in aid. A Black Hawk helicopter carries about a half ton of food. "Now that's extremely important because it may prevent people from losing their lives
but what we will need are roads that we can drive 20-ton and 10-ton trucks down at a much lower cost and deliver much more assistance," he said.***
Mr Kennedy is representative of UN mindset. The "but" in that statement reeks of stupidity. He should have said "and" but any old way to denigrate what the US and Aussies are doing will work for them. And while they are building roads (spose they will call Halliburton in?) - people die.

The UN must have had to resort to armed robbery to get their cut!In a virtual sense they have been for decades.

There is this big cloud of beurocratic bs being put into place here. Probably being used to whitewash a hidden agenda. Unholy Alliance indeed.

I KNEW the relief efforts were going to go awry somewhere. And if the UN pulls out, the terrorist thugs will be shooting at our OUR MEN AND WOMEN or will place a homocide bomber amidst the tsunami victims.
Here we go again and I got flamed the other day for saying there were terrorists over there. FV
