Maybe he'll sue God next.
Simply amazing. The same trouble maker re: the Pledge. Can't they at least PRETEND there are more than a handful?
I wish sombody would sue this yutz to prevent him from breathing in my country.
This if from the WashTimes version of this story:
"The presence of Christian influence and prayer, Mr. Newdow said, have forced him to contemplate not using his ticket to the inauguration because he does not want to feel like "an outsider."
My inquiring mind wants to know: HOW THE HELL DID THIS GUY GET A TICKET TO THE INAUGURATION?!?!?!?!?!
My inquiring mind also wants to know, how can he be stopped? I am tired of watching him hog the news pages while he continues with his quest to undermine America. I wish I lived around the corner from him, because my peaceful and law abiding protests would make his life a living hell.
Michael (you should really change your name,as Micheal is the name of an Archangel, maybe Bop-shoo-wop would suit you better) Newdow: hope (as you cannot pray) that I never hit the Mega Millions, 'cause if I do, I'm coming after you, and I am bringing a marching band with me.
This guy needs to be squashed like a bug (figuratively). Saying a prayer at an official function does not establish a state sponsored religion, and is the free expression of religious faith. The two things spelled out in the first amendment. Go away Newdow!
Narcissist wants attention.
I say give him a court date of 27-January....
Good Lord.
Michael Newdow gives all progressives a bad name.
There are so many battles that are worth fighting, this isn't one of them.
As a progressive, I'd like to apologize for Michael Newdow.
We really aren't like him.
Most of us are Christian, believe that it's okay (and worthy) for people to pray as long as nobody is being forced to do so, and cringe everytime we read an article about some atheist zealot who is crusading to remove any hint of religion from American public life.
Dear Michael Newdow,
America is a mostly Christian nation. Get over it. I suspect that you wouldn't be making a big deal of it if Joe Lieberman were being inaugurated and he opted for a Jewish prayer. Likewise, I suspect that you wouldn't be throwing a fit if the Dalai Lama were there to give his blessing.
So please shut up. There is a time and a place to argue matters of separation of church and state. This isn't one of them.
If George Bush wants to pray at his inauguration, he has every right to do so. Just like you have every right to not attend if it bothers you so much.
If you've ever seen him interviewed on TV, or even just listen to him in a radio interview, I swear Michael Newdow has a psyco/gone postal qualitiy about him.
oops sorry that libertarian ping wasnt for you i forgot to paste the libertarian group in the to field before I hit post my bad :-)
So what happens if at some govmnt. public event someone calls for a moment of silence for the tsunami victims? Newdow doesn`t seem to realize that in a public place there is really no better way show honor, respect, love and hope, things that have built the very country he lives in, or maybe he would prefer an obnoxious Broadway like show?
Notice the words AP and this man use here..."exposed to" and to "his young daughter"
It is the same wording Christians and conservatives use regarding the suits against homosexual indoctrination in the public classrooms.
On the basis of his hysteria and lawsuit---the fact is, you are "exposed to God" with every breath you take. We are all created, and live in His creation. This whole suit is a cheap attempt to get even with others who have shamed the Left.
Here's another one (Newdow) that's not helpful...
This guy needs to get a life. His 15 minutes were used up a long time ago.
Aren't there provisions for vexatious litigation?
This guy seriously needs a new hobby.
Will he sue me if I pray for him?
