I have only read the first few replies but it sounds like there are a lot of people who think it perfectly acceptable to have scum performing at an inaugural event.

This is why John Kerry and Al Gore came so close to being president. The "holier than thou" crowd scares away voters twice their number who would otherwise love to be conservatives.

Conservatism is being high jacked by a small minority (who fancy themselves as a majority) that believes that puritan virtues are all that matters. American sovereignty, property rights, protection of the 2nd amendment, high taxation, and the embracing of socialism are just small, peripheral issues to this group.

What really matters is that some "dirty" words are being said on TV and divorce is no longer considered a sin. Bush would haven't gotten at most 20% of the vote if he had publicly campaigned with this group's vision of America, yet they insist that they were the ones the "elected him".

The real reason they lost, at least I hope so, is maybe people are tired of anyone who tries to stand up for what is right and decent being slandered.

Just maybe people don't want to see trash like Kerry and his wife running this country.

Your political analysis is dead wrong, as is your distorted characterization of the religious right's views and expectations. Your post sounds like it came from People for the American Way or the abortion lobby. Can't you do better than this?
