hmmmm... a "SF Republican" who wants a Yes vote on this poll? No offense, but that looks pretty fishy.

Voted. But not enough conservatives read CNN.com. It'd be like us getting our news from Pravda back in '83 as 99 luftballoons go by.

You've got it wrong--we can't overtake the "yes" vote, so if we ALL vote yes, the total will be something like 95% yes--an obviously worthless poll.
Folks were doing this quite a bit during the election around here.

It would be just like CNN to use these numbers, though, absurd or not, and then the other networks would pick it up and start a media frenzy.

Not at all. I agree w/ SFRepub.I voted yes. Let me tell you why.
A poll where we "battle" with the DU or some other activist group will record a fairly even poll. Say if the poll was "Should partial birth abortions be legalized", we FReep it and the DU... I dunno, DUmmies it. The poll records something ambiguous like 45/48/7.
If we vote the way THEY want, it'll give them an extremely stilted poll which will be dismissed. Lets say 89/7/4. On something as controversial as PBA or the turd-flinging monkeyfest going on in DC today, it'll obviously look like a rigged poll.
Think of it this way: You are playing tug-of-war. When someone shouts "GO", both teams pull. BUT, if one team lets go of the rope, the other team falls down in the dirt. Over something as meaningless as a CNN poll, it's more fun just to let go of the rope.

No I truly am an SF Republican (that fish smell is I live 4 blocks from the beach). I have all along thought this practice of hitting the various polls is dumb, and I have said so, you can see it in post after post on this subject. The practice of freeping them vs the DUers is ridiculous. Don't vote or vote with the DUers, the numbers will be so out of line, the poll will be dropped.
To: marblehead17
How should I have voted? I said yes. Let them look into it, let them look into PA, FLA, WI all of them. They'll find out they LOST fair and square. There are irregularities everywhere, on both sides, but not enough to sway the election. Let them investigate til the cows come home in the end they'll find out they still LOST! It'll make them look even more ridiculous.
