He reminds me of the venerable Ted Nugent. Yes, The Nuge. A patriotic rocker that has his head screwed on straight. I say Play On!

Let's move on to stuff that really matters and forget which popular performer is playing at some party.

Sheesh, I seem to recall quite a bit of noise being made here when Whoopi Goldberg used foul language at "some party." Heck, people here were shocked, shocked, I tell you, when a song by Billy Joel was played at a venue where Hillary Clinton was going to be arriving for a senate campaign event. It seems the particular song had the word "masturbate" in it.

Kid Rock is okay because he's for Bush, and the twins should be allowed to have a little fun, and even though this is part of the inaugural it's not like he's going to be on the podium for the swearing in, so who cares. At least he's our vulgar white trash rap star, unlike that no good Eminem.

Well, let us at the very least compare apples to something similar.

What is the title of the Kid Rock song in which he makes sexually explicit comments about former Presidential candidate Senator John Kerry? Oh, that's right--no such song.

I'm not a huge fan of fellow Mittenite KR but I certainly don't lump him together with the vitriolic Goldberg. She is absolutely classless.

Concluded Thomasson: "It makes me angry. … This is a good reason to leave the Republican Party."

Goodbye.

I'm curious...over the last few years, hasn't KR--and his lyrics--toned down a bit? The article cites songs from the early '90s but makes no mention of anything he has recorded recently. Is it possible that he has matured? How many of us were born conservative? How many of us would like to have events of our past held against us? Not me, thanks. I'm hard enough on myself without the help of the listening public.

Yeah, he's mellowed out quite a bit, lyrically. And he's branched out musically as well.

LOL...heaven forbid someone goes and matures on us!

What was the name of that actor, a left-wing liberal democrat, could have been a SAG prez at one time...grew up a bit, became a conservative Republican...what was his name?

Oh, silly me! President Ronald Reagan.

He's also sings a few ballads that are quite good and has a few raps that are patriotic, he has traveled and performed on a few USO tours. He's pro-military and a lot of troops like him. The Launch and breakaway song for the USS Cole is "American Bad@ss. I think he should be able perform at the inauguration.

I don't believe he is going to do something stupid like a Toby or Springsteen would but it will just drive the rats nuts.

At best, it is a horrible oversight by a clueless event organizer.

Possibly the same one that booked Elton John for the surprise headliner at the Harley-Davidson 100th Anniversary bash?

d;^)

What is the title of the Kid Rock song in which he makes sexually explicit comments about former Presidential candidate Senator John Kerry? Oh, that's right--no such song.
But it's okay for Kid Rock to sing this about Barbara Bush?:
"Pimp of the Nation, I could be it As a matter of a fact,
I foresee it But only pimpin' hoes with the big tush
While you be left pimpin' Barbara Bush."

I'm not a huge fan of fellow Mittenite KR but I certainly don't lump him together with the vitriolic Goldberg. She is absolutely classless.
Do you think Kid Rock, who you seem to feel has more class than Whoopi Goldberg, will sing the song F*ck Off at his Bush inaugural party? Here are a few verses from the song, sanitized for your protection:

A shimmy shimmy cocoa cocoa f*ckin puffs b*tch
It's the K-K-Kid Rock with the K-K-Kid Rock sh*t
I'm on top b*tch and rock for tricks
Hella whips and nips and flip trips for whips
I get all the money p*ssy falls like rain
Been gettin' laid and paid that's why I never complain
If I ain't in it for the money I'm in it for the P
It's 1998 yo and you still can't f*ck with me
You don't be f*ckin' with the blue eye
F*ckin' with my 2-5 up your f*ckin' *ss like my shoe size

With my pants half hangin' off my *ss and sh*t
Bowl filled hash pockets stuffed with cash
I be the mushroom trippin' sippin' shots of Jack
'Cause the kids don't listen gettin' lots of flack
I be the do wa diddy up and down you block and
The 10 karat Kid with my triggers cockin'
The K the I the D R-O-C K motherf*cker and you still don't know me
So blow me b*tch I don't rock for cancer
I rock for the cash and the topless dancers

I roam the country like a Greyhound bus
Put faith in lust and in God I trust
I'm not Peter Pan I don't f*ck with fairies
But I bust more rhymes than virgin cherries
And Harry Carey couldn't call my game
F*cked so many hoes I'm in the hall of fame
And I show no shame from coast to coast
I don't mean to brag, but I like to boast
F*ck Off
Yeah right in your mother f*ckin' *ss b*tch

It's hard to pick out my favorite line from this song, but the one that goes "So blow me b*tch I don't rock for cancer" might be especially good for making sure that "the kids" know that President Bush is hip enough to have snagged Kid Rock to perform as part of his inaugural.

Ted and Kid are actually good friends. And you are right, he is alot like a young Ted Nugent.

From his last album: "Kid Rock"

"Cadillac Pussy"

seen a fly slimmy on the avenue
When i was on tour in baton rouge
A mean little missy with a attitude
I played it smooth
No need to be rude
I stopped the ship
Stepped off like chewie..
Ran some game like louie louie
Talked her on the bus
Talked her out of her shorts
No lie y'all, im here 2 report

She had some cadillac pussy
Some cadillac pussy
She had some cadillac pussy
She had some cadillac pussy
Man it would drive you wild

---
Oh yeah, he's mellowed. This is the stuff your kids might hear if they were to attend one of his concerts. And he's a "conservative"? Maybe they'll even get to see him desecrate an American flag?

Any particular reason you chose to bash me over the head with that? I didn't say he was totally clean, if you'll recall.

Thanks.

From "Black Bob" on his last album:

And all alones how i spend my free time
Writin freal rhymes
Drinkin cheap wine
Easy whips
And a cracker
Im the master blaster
No one cuts faster
The king of disaster
Is who i'am ho
And i'll be rippin the f*ckin ryhmes
And ill make you mother sh*t her pants bro
So so
You better watch your back
Watch for me comin
Watch for me comin
In a 59 drop top blood red cadillac

Hank Williams, Jr. sings much of that song, along with Kid Rock, on that CD. They sing it as a Southern, crude, raunchy ballad.
