I would hope Kid Rock would have enough common sense to rap without cursing.
Thanks - unfortunately the title was changed so I didn't see it when I searched.
Well, this is for the party hosted by the Bush Twins. I guarantee that they know what Kid Rock's lyrics say. This is not the Inauguration Ball. This is a party, and it's hosted by a couple of 21 or 22 year olds. They ain't gonna have the Marine Orchestra or Band playing there. They're going to get down.
Let the twins have their fun.
Apparently by someone who heard and loved his "Winding Road of Faith" as much as I did.
I agree with you.
Kid Rock happens to be a personal favorite of a lot of GI's. I'll bet most GI's even use the F-word....
Let's not start the purges and purity tests.
Are these part of the 'values' that got Bush elected?
Kid Rock sux.
Being an old goat, I don't listen to any of that stuff so have no idea if it is any good.
I would rather go to a party with Kid Rock singing than some of these other stick-in-the-mud types ;)
With any luck, that mistake will be corrected any minute now.
New York Daily News gossip columnist Lloyd Grover reported on Kid Rock's support for Bush last July. According to the columnist, the rapper was arguing with hip-hop and fashion mogul Russell Simmons and others outside a movie theater about whether or not to see Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11."
"I don't want to see that, it's all propaganda," the rock star said sparking a prolonged political debate right there on the sidewalk.
"Russell, don't you understand, everything we got in this country, we got from fighting," Kid Rock argued, according to Simmons' account. "It's just a movie. ... I'd rather go to the bar across the street."
Kid Rock refused to see the movie and said goodbye. The others bought tickets and went into the theater.
A couple of hours later, Simmons returned to his parked car. On his windshield was a scribbled note:
"Vote Bush. Bush Rocks," apparently written by Kid Rock himself.
I think this is awesome and commendable. Most of the rockers are dims. Lets hold onto all we can. All the colleges are molding young minds to be dims too. We need some people out there that knows how to speak their language, be it with an F word or not.
Nelly wasn't available?
I hope he sings.
Great, give all the liberals a chance to act superior by talking about those hypocritical "fundies" on the Christian Right, who are willing to thump the bible when talking about gays or abortion, but not when it comes to sleeping around or treating women like sex objects.
As it is the President's Inauguration, his committee gets to chose the structure and content of events. If it was the Party's Inaugural, they would choose. If it was a particular voting block's Inaugural, they would choose.
If the actual attendees or any individual event are displeased by real content in any large measure, I am sure that this will become obvious. This means that advance opinions by commentators or media mavens aren't really all that important.
Thanks. Heck, I'm an old 59-year-old grayhead. I've never heard a Kid Rock song that I'm aware of. But a party for hosted by the twins is going to have some current music. My understanding is that this performer was a big Bush supporter during the campaign, and that he's entertained our troops.
I'm sure the Bush twins know what they're getting. Those who believe that this administration is going to turn into some sort of prayer fest are going to be really surprised, IMO.
So Kid Rock says the F-word. Whaddya want to bet that W says it too, from time to time.
We didn't elect a Pope or a Bishop or even a lowly Pastor. We elected a President.
Hey Thomasson . . . as Kid Rock sings in a song, "(I) cuss like a sailor, drink like a mick. My only words of wisdom are s**k my d**k!!!"
