MSNBC Reports: Up to 6 other Sentors may join Barbara Boxer in contesting the election.

Posted on 01/06/2005 7:20:07 AM PST by Next_Time_NJ

MSNBC is now reporting that up to 6 other senators (1 possible republican) will give statements of support for contesting the election. There were no names given. Barbara Boxer is confirmed to be the only senator on record to say she is now going to contest the election along with Conyers and a few others from congress.

The report went on to say that the debate (if all 6 come on board) will only be about 30 minutes, due to the 5 minute rule per senator. The report also said that Bush's victory his not in jepordy.

I still think the media may eat crow on this but anyone have any thoughts?

Well, Congress is allowed to be involved in it.

Clearly they are not referring to Washington state.

This whole stunt by Boxer and Conyers has but one underlying purpose, IMHO:

** De-legitimize Dubya's win in the court of public opinion. **

The game here appears to be to create "doubt" about the outcome of Ohio, thereby taking away power from Dubya during his second term. (It gives the far left whackos 4 years of chances to whine about how those "voting irregularities in Ohio" led to Dubya being in the WH despite the fact that sKerry "really" would have won. Chips away pretty good at Dubya actually trying to get things done.

And to think that our good friend Frist (/sarcasm) offered to "play nice" the other day and NOT use the nuclear option to end the obstructionist filibustering. Gee, what a great move, Senator! Now, maybe..just maybe..ya oughta reconsider?

Looks like the leftist whackos aren't necessarily in a a "cooperative, bipartisan" mood. Maybe we shouldn't be, either..especially since it's the REPUBLICANS that are in power today. (So ACT LIKE IT ALREADY!!)

Yet I bet there was no mention of the voting irregularities in my state, Wisconsin, where bus loads of union workers were brought in to our southern counties. (We have same day registration - real easy to register if you are not from here.) Plus they will never mention the tire slashing incident where two sons of two local democrats slashed the tires of the vans the Republican in Milwaukee rented to get voters to the polls, therefore disenfranchasing poor and elderly Republicans who wanted to vote, but couldn't get to the poll.

There's two sides to this story, but only one will be heard.

Whew! I had the opportunity to go to Bahrain a year or two ago on the job. I just laughed when that Program Manager asked me. I said, "Hey, I've already been to a war, thank you very much!" He said, "But you can get a good buy on gold in Bahrain!" Another armchair general.

Maybe Bahrain is a nice place. I was not about to find out.

I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid.

That's because WI wouldn't give Kerry a win, Ohio would.

Watching on CSPAN2. Senator BOXer is actually standing on a box so she looks as tall as the congresswoman from Ohio. They pulled the camera back and she looks like a little child.

What a waste of taxpayer money and time!

Maybe we should just revote everything then, including the WA governor's race.

Well, Congress is allowed to do this, constitutionally.

I'm not sure that the intent was for career politicos to play politics with the issue when there is a clear winner in the election.

BTW, I have dealt with Barbara Boxer personally and I can assure you that she has not a care in the world for the voters in Ohio. It's all about her. Or any other voter for that matter. It's always been about her. If Barbara Boxer cared for the average American she'd be working on closing the borders. Not wasting time on this BS.

Now Tubbs Jones is saying people came up to her saying their vote didn't get counted. How much do you want to bet there is zero proof of that? Sounds like FL all over again. Make the allegations, but provide no names, affidavits, or anything substantial.

If a Republican dares do this than Bill Frist is a bigger joke as Majority leader than even I thought he was.

Am I the only one who thinks that this attack on our Republic from the inside is sedition (trying to eliminate the Electoral College and overturn a valid election)?

If everything was free and fair, why is anybody objecting? And why would we object to another free and fair election?
