MSNBC is now reporting that up to 6 other senators (1 possible republican) will give statements of support for contesting the election. There were no names given. Barbara Boxer is confirmed to be the only senator on record to say she is now going to contest the election along with Conyers and a few others from congress.
The report went on to say that the debate (if all 6 come on board) will only be about 30 minutes, due to the 5 minute rule per senator. The report also said that Bush's victory his not in jepordy.
I still think the media may eat crow on this but anyone have any thoughts?
Chaffee of RI?
I don't have c-span2 on the TV and can't load it on the web at the moment ... Long story
C'mon. Did McCain campaign for Bush? Yes. He would look pretty stupid now contesting it. Plus, how do you think the Republican establishment would react? His chances in 2008 would be over before they started.
This is a no-brainer, people, Lincoln Chafee. That's it. Only 1 person out there who would do this.
Bud Dwyer did that and it ended his career.

"The word 'democracy' is nowhere to be found in our founding documents, and to the Founding Fathers it was a vile and contemptible word."
Yup. They were well aware of the disastrous consequences of direct democracy in Athens, which is why they looked to Rome to fashion a Republic.
yada..yada..yada...
Stephanie Tubbs Jones is on now. Talking about "irregularities" and such. She sounds kind of unhinged. She's actually made at least a couple of references to "overturning" the election. Yeah, right.
It will have something to do with strawberries.
They are! Take a look at them gushing over at DU:

Chafee is not Republican at all really, only in name. He's certainly one of the most liberal senators and I think it's obvious he is a problem to have in the GOP. He can go now and we'll pick up more seats in '06 due to this insanity. This is a campaign issue. I hope that if his name is on this the GOP officially severs its ties to the traitor.
I think there is a BIG push going on to try to overturn this election. I think the media is staying away from the story for several reasons. Number one it shows what a bunch of whiney crybabies the Dems are and number two, if nothing comes of it the media doesn't want to have egg on their faces. I'm sure they are all secretly giving each other "high fives" on this.
Are you serious, Clark?
The MSM may be staying away from teh story to give cover for the DNC operatives. If they can delay the public majority from having this on the radar they will not mobilize.
Remember how TINY the democrat protests were in 2000?
The MSM is PRAYING (if they do) for a miracle in their favor.
The Dims want to count every vote, but ignore all the junk that ACT pulled. Registering "Dick Tracy" and "Michael Jordan", etc, and selling crack for votes. Yes, let's dig into that, indeed!
Speaking of "counting every vote", if the D's challenge Ohio, then the R's should challenge Washington State.
Once again, someone in Congress sticks their nose in something that they have no business being involved in.
Right out of the Soros play book.
That is correct. Since when does a Senator from California has a right to tell the state of Ohio to run an election...
