MSNBC Reports: Up to 6 other Sentors may join Barbara Boxer in contesting the election.

Posted on 01/06/2005 7:20:07 AM PST by Next_Time_NJ

MSNBC is now reporting that up to 6 other senators (1 possible republican) will give statements of support for contesting the election. There were no names given. Barbara Boxer is confirmed to be the only senator on record to say she is now going to contest the election along with Conyers and a few others from congress.

The report went on to say that the debate (if all 6 come on board) will only be about 30 minutes, due to the 5 minute rule per senator. The report also said that Bush's victory his not in jepordy.

I still think the media may eat crow on this but anyone have any thoughts?

Maybe with real people, but the 35% who are their core will put up with anything.

Even his name sounds gay.

Well, the 'Rats can do what they want to do within the rules, I don't care anymore. But if they pull this kind of crap, one thing I would appreciate is if they would, once and for all time, stop running their stinking sewers about any notion of "bipartisanship". The 'Rats notion of "bipartisanship" seems to mean that the 'Cans should be "bi" while the 'Rats are "partisan".

If this is what the 'Rats mean when they say bipartisanship, I say to hell with it. Let's all just be partisan. At least that way we'll be honest with ourselves.

Personally, I don't necessarily have a problem with partisanship. If you take a stand based on principle and have strong feelings about it, then some measure of partisanship is inevitable.

Chafee

I knew I forgot someone in that list.

Is there any way we can "ex-communicate" his sorry butt from the party?

No problem. We'll win with 65% every time. :o)

The DUmmies have prayed for this day. Some still think this is going to put JK in the Whitehouse. The meltdown when this quitely slips away into history and never spoke of again is going to be fun to watch. The MSM knows there is nothing there and will do their best to protect the Dems from themselves but they DUmmies will interpret it as MSM complicity in the conspiracy.

Hillary and Obama aren't THAT crazy. They've got higher political aspirations.

Somebody please help me. What is the point of this? I'm being serious, no kidding. The Ohio results are NOT in doubt. Not one individual has been on tv claiming disenfranchisement. What's the deal?

The Democrats, since they lost Florida, have wanted to change the system, from counting real actual votes by legal voters using simple arithmetic to a system where wise guardians decide what the voters really wanted to do on election day.

This mostly has to do with African-American votes, and specifically with the falling number going to Democratic candidates.

In order to win a statewide election, a Democrat needs 90+% of the black vote.

This is no longer happening in a reliaible way, partly because some of "their" voters don't vote.

The Democrats would like the system to "count every (non)vote" as a vote for them, since if "their" voters had registered, or were legal voters, or had showed up at the polls, they would have won.

What is happening today is meaningless.

What will follow, an attempt to change the rules for what counts as a vote, is not meaningless

Be watchful.

Thanks, mrs. tiggywinkle. Shelters have been set up for those were were transported to the hospital and now cannot return home. People still urged to stay inside with ventilation off.

There is a news article out today that Chafee is co-sponsoring a bill with Fienstein to do away with the electoral college system.

Yes, its on the thread entitled "Feinstein and Chafee want to abolish Electoral College." It is a direct violation of the guarantee to the states of a republican form of government, contained in Article IV, section 4 of the Constitution. Although it won't go anywhere now, give this country 20 more years of left-wing MSM and public-education dumbing down, along with the entitlement/"I'm a victim" mentality we're sunk in, and it will start getting more traction. Check out Walter Williams' current article (the one linked through his name on Drudge) for more on this. The word 'democracy' is nowhere to be found in our founding documents, and to the Founding Fathers it was a vile and contemptible word.

I hope each and every Democrat joins in.

It will serve a few purposes:

  1. It will show America just how frickin' loonified the left has become, and that the Cynthia McKinney's of the world now run the Democrat Party, and

  2. It will put GW Bush on notice that the Democrats will not be 'bipartisan', and that he shouldn't bother to reach out to these total flakes and moonbeam inhalers.

65% works for me.

But 35% can be really annoying.

OK, I agree they're inept--but this would have to be a colossal blunder. I hope you're right. I'm just worried they've actually dug up an actual skeleton or two to wave in front of the press. If they have, we got to be ready.

love your letter to Sen Boxer, I wrote her as well, mine was not as humorous as yours, but I made my point. I urged her to drop playing politics, and address very serious issues, such as immigration, border and port protection, and exploring new domestic energy sources. I am sure she will now rethink her plans...lol
