Sick Bed, New York Nothing is in writing and daybreak is a long way away, but it appeared all but certain in early evening Wednesday that House Democrats had secured the support of up to half a dozen Senators to formally challenge the Electoral College slate from Ohio, when the votes are opened before a joint session of Congress tomorrow.
Congressional sources tell this reporter that the house half of the written objection which has the declared support of more than a dozen Representatives is expected to be signed by Representative Stephanie Tubbs Jones of Ohio. Republican leadership expects the Senate signatory to be Barbara Boxer of California, but this has not yet been formalized. The Majority is also worried about the possible absence of many of its members in both houses, and the prospect that a quorum might not be achieved, leading the process into uncharted, albeit not very threatening, constitutional grounds. There is a mathematical, if not practical, chance that the ratification of the Electoral College vote could be delayed past tomorrow.

this is like shooting fish in a barrel!

Nah wasn't me, I was just asking what are they really trying to hide, if they are willing to take a broadside like this, what are they protecting? (It isn't in Ohio)
Scorecards aren't much good with a politician, it reminds them too much of the Truth.
Truth and Honesty won't get you very far, if you are a Politician or a Lawyer or a Judge or Law Enforcement/Tax Collector. Sheep need to be sheared... it's easier if they are unaware.

Going nuclear is needed regardless of whether the Rats pull this nonsense. A better direct response would be to file a motion to Expel Kerry on the grounds that he's constitutionally barred from serving. See
this thread for details. To put teeth in the response, threaten to have the Senate subpoena his full military records including all the stuff he's refused to release. The information is needed to judge the case. As the Senate is the final word on its own membership I suspect the usual privacy restrictions could be bypassed, if the Congress hasn't already made an exception for itself.

The Majority is also worriedWhat the hell kind of leadership do we have. If this is true, why the hell doesn't FRIST call in all the GOP Senators?
This is truly pathetic and if FRIST shouldn't allow this to garner more than 5 minutes air time!

Isn't it amazing how their four-year-long overwhelming hatred of the Electoral College evaporated in the span of just a few hours on November 2, 2004?
The Dummie "concern" about counting every vote, fair elections, election fraud, etc. evaporates the moment their candidate leads by one popular vote (Washington State). Once they take the lead the counting stops and the election shall be recorded as perfect. :-(

I love that link on their front page to the lengthy diatribe from Skinner exclaiming "We are not kooky tsunami conspiracy theorists! The New York Times lies!
The Old Gray Whore is like a broken clock--right about twice a day. I guess their comment on DU types was their one accurate statement for a twelve hour period.

This cr@p has to end sometime....geez.It'll end the minute that someone really starts digging into voter "irregularities" in Cuyahoga County (Cleveland). This is a smokescreen on the part of the democrats - they're hoping to scare any real investigations away.
I wonder if they realize that it makes them appear dumber than a box of rocks?
